Why I'm Running

“I believe that our Constitution and its separation of powers makes us unique and keeps us free. Political policy decisions should be made by those directly accountable to the people—your elected representatives. The job of a Judge is to follow the Constitution.”

- Cade Cole

Meet Cade

Judge Cade Cole is a father of four, seasoned litigator, and experienced Judge. After law school, Judge Cole served as a Law Clerk to Justice Jeannette Knoll at the Louisiana Supreme Court before practicing law in Lake Charles.

He has defended our community as an Assistant District Attorney and served as City Attorney for Vinton and Sulphur. Cade grew up in DeQuincy and served as its City Magistrate.

Cade led successful efforts to improve our citizens' rights to defend themselves from improper state or local taxes, and then served us as Louisiana’s first state and local Tax Judge. Judge Cole is a trial judge of statewide jurisdiction that has received national praise for efficiently moving a complex docket with billions in dispute.

Judge Cole was also asked by other state and federal judges to be the Special Master and design the program to expedite the handling of over 10,000 hurricane related lawsuits—a vital effort to stand our community back up after Hurricane Laura. Cade was previously awarded the Bar Association’s Outstanding Service Award. He has recently worked closely with McNeese organizing its successful Ranch Collective to support student athletes.
